STORY 13: MOBILE CLINIC
West Bank

How would you feel if you and your family were unable to access essential health care even though you live within easy reach of a hospital or clinic? This is the reality faced by a growing number of Palestinians living in the West Bank.

The Barrier, closures and the permit system mean that Palestinian communities are finding it increasingly difficult to access essential services such as health and education. Dr Huda leads one of six UNRWA mobile health clinics which deliver medical services to isolated and vulnerable communities who would not otherwise be able to access them.

For the communities she works with, Dr Huda and her dedicated team are a lifeline. For Dr Huda, her work is a way of breaking down the barriers that divide, and sometimes imprison, the residents of the West Bank.
